My tickets finally arrived today.

They're standing, general admission of course. I was just wondering what doors you guys have been assigned to enter? They're spread out ALL around the building at festival hall which is a bit of a pain.

I got Door #6, which Im happy about as it is a main door at the front .

Though the 22nd is a Monday night, but that shouldnt be too big a problem in Melbourne I hope

How close? Near Festy Hall there's a few pubs, I've noticed walking to the station, but I've never been to any so I'll might ask friends which are any good. There's lots of nice places in the city of course, like the Carlton is pretty cool. I'm not being very helpful here though, am i?

I thought this place would almost be worth it for the lols, but it's not open on Mondays.

lol, dammit, we totally could have sat in there singing their theme song!! ;)

Their opening ours are great lol. Pitty about Monday though. Shouldnt be too bad RE: walking distance, the closer the better and some place that wont mind sweaty people and band tshirts ;)

But yeah, the Royal Mail looks ok, some of the reviews for the other places are a bit worrying! (sorry I'm so unhelpful!)

I just checked my ticket. It really is a party at door 6 ::DD:

(Let's just hope they let Door 6 in before door 4, so we can all be on the barrier!)
There's a tiny pub just around the corner from Festering Hall, but I can't remember what its called. I can't find it online, but I'll get back here as soon as I figure it out. I'll ask some friends for some more suggestions.

The Royal Mail have just replied to me. Monday nights they generally close at 11

A friend of mine just suggested the Arthouse, which I love with all my heart, but I don't think they're open unless they're running thier own gig that night. The website doesn't say anything.
I've just messaged another friend who works at a pub, but I'm not sure where. I think being a monday its going to be a bit of an issue.

I suppose Spencer street isn't too far? There's a bar called Spencerslive I've heard good things about.
But I really do think being a Monday night is going to be an issue.

...Oh! the Crown Casino Complex will be open. We used to pull all nighters there after gigs when we were younger, because trains wouldn't run late enough and we were too poor for hostels.
It's about a half hour walk from Festi Hall, but there's pleanty of trams that'll get us there in under 10.

5 is probably average. It's a Monday, so people'll be at work and school.
Last time I was there it was pretty quiet till about 6.30, for Crooked Vultures.
