A Great and Terrible Beauty - Its amazing, there's three in the series which I haven't read yet. But I love books set about 100 years ago , and this is a fine, fine example

You'd better keep it in check or you'll end up a wreck

Reading: one hundred years of solitude
I'm a little confuse, all the names of this book are so similar, that drives me crazy :HM:

Murakami is so good! I'm reading 'South of the Border, West of the Sun' and I'm loving it! Next one will be 'Kafka on the shore', some of my friends told me that after reading this, they were afraid never to be able to find a book that is more beautiful... My expectations are extremely high now! 'Sputnik Sweetheart' is on my list as well.

I hate to admit I'm one of those people who are reading at least 3 different books at the same time.
I was halfway into reading 'The Catcher in the Rye' when JD Salinger passed away, which was incredibly spooky, still haven't finished it though.
I'm also reading a book called 'Never Push when it says Pull'. It's a bible for clumsy people like me! Not very high standard, but entertaining.

I had the same problem with Un long dimanche de fiançailles (aka A Very Long Engagement) by Sebastien Japrisot. There were so many people, so many names that I turned one page and forgot whom I was currently actually reading about. It was a bit irritating really. But the book was very good, so... :C=:

Reading: The Naked and the Dead by Norman Mailer.

I rarely read, but I got inspired by this thread so I went to by myself some books - and now I feel great! Don't know when I actually will have time to read them, but hopefully soon ::))):

^go read now!

I haven't had a proper intense reading day in ages but I'm slowly reading Marian Keyes' Anybody Out There (I think have actually read all of her books Ö_Ö she is just very addictive, I'd say. And easily available from charity shops.ha )
And I have been reading Tom Regan's The Case for Animal Rights, it is really REALLY good but as I have been on the diet of chick lit and ha-ha books a serious philosophy book takes extra concentration and is not really tube/bus/train material.
But I'd still recommend it to absolutely any- and everyone.
you may have been made for love BUT I'M JUST MADE

I am always reading 2 books, 1 fiction, which is currently:

and one non-fiction:

however, as a result of an email from someone whose judgement I highly value
I am cutting back my leisure reading as of today and putting that time into reading all my own stuff
and eventually get back to real writing again :)

I'm reading 20th century ghosts by Joe Hill (son of Steven King) but so far I am not so entertained. Thought Heart Shaped Box was much much better.

Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Jennifer Rardin...unlike the majority of the vampire novels I have read, this one is good :P and the vampires do vampire-y things.
